Due to the ever-changing educational climate, especially as it relates to the student or professionals continued ease with online leaning, I have decided to focused solely on online learning.

We are not current offering our in-person training programs. However, the entire 16 week program can be self taught through my series of best selling books.

Financial Modeling and Valuation



This book teaches core model building. Accounting concepts are refreshed while learn techniques behind projecting an income statement, cash flow statement, balance sheet, and supporting schedules are learned. The book continues into concepts and practical uses of valuation including building an accurate set of comparable companies, understanding precedent transactions, and conducting discounted cash flow analyses.

Mergers and Acquisitions



This book explores the fundamental concepts of Mergers and Acquisitions, understanding how to effectively analyze a potential Merger or an Acquisition. The processes and common practices behind looking for targets are learned. The book continues with creating an accretion dilution analysis, analyzing the fundamental impact of an acquisition, and further building a complete merger model as done by Wall Street Analysts.

Leveraged Buyouts



A Leveraged Buyout is a fundamental, yet complex acquisition commonly used in the Private Equity industry. This book will explore the fundamental concepts, benefits, and drawbacks of a Leveraged Buyout including understand how to effectively analyze a Leveraged Buyout and building a fully consolidated model. The book will further analyze the fundamental impact of such a transaction and calculate the expected return to an investor interpreting the variables and wide array of financing structures to understand how to maximize IRR.

Companion Workbook



The Technical Guide to Investment Banking was designed as a workbook companion to Financial Modeling, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Leveraged Buyouts. Full of examples, exercises, and case studies, through repetition, this will help one hone skills and concepts learned in the aforementioned text books. For educators, this book can be a useful companion to adapt homework and exams to curricula. Several chapters on interview preparation also makes this book applicable to those trying to break into a career on Wall Street.

About the author






Paul is the author of the “Investment Banking and Private Equity in Practice” series of books published by Wiley Finance. Since its publication, “Financial Modeling and Valuation: A Practical Guide to Investment Banking and Private Equity”, the first book in the series, has been ranked #1 on Amazon.com in Finance Hot New Releases and #1 in Valuation Bestsellers.


Paul is also a Managing Director at Oberon Securities, a boutique Mergers and Acquisitions firm, bringing over 20 years of Investment Banking and Private Equity experience to the firm’s clients.


Paul started his Investment Banking career at J.P. Morgan, then shifted to Morgan Stanley where he focused on Mergers and Acquisitions in the Energy, Power, and Utilities Sectors. Some landmark transactions he worked on included the $33.3Bn merger of BP Amoco and ARCO and the $7.6Bn sale of American Water Works to RWE. After Morgan Stanley, Paul moved to the buy-side working for T.H. Lee Putnam Ventures, the $1.1.Bn buyout and growth equity arm of $20Bn buyout giant Thomas H. Lee Partners, led by the former CEO of American Express.


Paul earned a dual degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from New York University.
